The Team
Vidur Luthra, CEO
Vidur is primarily responsible for navigating our ship. He has over 15 years of experience including many years spent in online marketing. In his last role at Microsoft he was responsible for marketing and product management for Live.com and Windows Live suite. Prior to which he was Director of marketing for MSN.com where he had responsibility for the marketing of MSN.com and all its channels including shopping, classifieds and music. At Microsoft, Vidur also led the efforts to grow the Windows Business in the fast growth markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China. Prior to which he was in the mobility team where he was responsible for enterprise marketing and partner channel development for Windows Mobile. Vidur spent close to 10 years at Microsoft and prior to that he was at Andersen Consulting. He has an MBA from Cornell and a Master in Economics and a Computer Engineering degree from BITS Pilani.
Gulrez Alam, Business Head & COO
A maverick of Digital Advertising, Gulrez thanks his modest beginning as a Management Trainee at McCann Erickson for his ability to work round the clock, four times over. Having learned the ropes of PPC and SEM in Webchutney, he then spearheaded Paid Search in Communicate 2 through the initial stages of the Search evolution. As Managing Director and COO of Resultrix Media, Gulrez lends his decade of experience in client domains like Finance, Technology, Mobile Communication, Travel, Auto, Retail, Lifestyle, Education, Real Estate, etc. to create unique, highly successful, ROI driven campaigns. Gulrez has an MBA from IILM New Delhi, India's premier Business School.
Karishma Kiri, Vice President of Digital Services
Karishma is responsible for Worldwide Client Services, Product Management, Marketing, Business Planning and Development. Karishma has spent over 14 years in product management and is a seasoned marketing professional. Karishma is established as a strategic thinker and industry thought leader with extensive experience in building innovative solutions and business models across a variety of industry verticals. She is passionate about Digital Advertising and Media, Social Media (probably a borderline addict), emerging market opportunities, and catalyzing socio-economic development for BOP (base of the pyramid) consumers. Previously, Karishma was a Director at Microsoft Corporation where she carried out marketing, product management, strategies and business development for a number of products and emerging market incubations. She has received several prestigious awards from Microsoft's senior management, including Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer. Karishma also has extensive experience in incubating and marketing solutions for the E-Commerce space and co-authored the book "Connecting to Customers: Strategies and Solutions for Growing your Business Online". Karishma holds a B.A. in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Michael Aldridge, Senior Director of Digital Experiences
Michael is focused on Business Planning and Development, Client Services, and Technical Product Management. Michael has over 15 years of digital media and marketing experience spanning commercial and consumer software and services. His areas of expertise span technology product management, planning, marketing, and business strategy. Previously he was a Group Manager at Microsoft and owned his own consulting company. While at Microsoft he worked on products as diverse as Microsoft Office, Windows, Digital Media and Online Services; managing multi-million dollar P&Ls, marketing budgets, ad campaigns and GTM programs. Michael has been passionate about digital media since 1999. He was a key spokesperson and communications strategist on digital media technology; quoted in publications like The Economist, CNet, Boston Globe and the Washington Post. His extensive experience in emerging markets allowed him to live and work in China for 7 years with companies like Standard Chartered Bank, American Express, and Microsoft. He also managed teams and projects in India, China and Vietnam. Michael holds a B.A. in Political Science/History of China and Africa from The Colorado College, and completed executive education from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.
Emma Cockburn, Media Director
Emma heads our worldwide Media practice. Her primary responsibilities include building the Media practice (Display, Mobile, Social, SEM & SEO) in areas such as online marketing strategy, thought leadership, product innovation and management, build integral partnerships, client relationships, etc. Emma has over 9 years of experience working with the Search Engine Marketing space, gaining expertise in Search, Paid Inclusion, Shopping Feeds and Search Engine Optimization. Emma manages clients such as Corbis, Bing, Concur, MSFT Visio, MSFT Project, etc. to build their online campaign strategy. Prior to her current role, Emma was an Associate Search Director at Razorfish where she was a part of the Global team for International SEM, technology and developed and led the Global Search Symposium. As well as developing online marketing campaigns for a multitude of verticals Retail (Getty Images International, Levi's, Dockers), Travel (Holland America Line, Tourism New Zealand, Hawaiian Airlines) and Lead Generation (MSFT, AAA, Ancestry). Previous to Razorfish, Emma was a Search Manager at an SEM in Boston, MA called Inceptor (now Idearc Media). And before that she worked at a Search Engine Company in the London called eSpotting (now Miva), where she was securing Search buys and developing efficiency tools. Emma is a graduate of London South Bank University.
