New Adwords Keyword Tool
Google has come up with its new keyword tool, this is still in Beta phase and only a few accounts have access to this tool.
A good addition in this new tool is that we can choose to view keywords by categories like Apparel, Sports, Computers, Finance and many more. Just like how we choose placement sites
Couple of new features of this tool:
Keyword List Sorting – you can sort the keywords according to search history, competition, estimated Avg. CPC and CTR, ad share, search share and a few more other options.
Search for keywords in three ways – we had 2 options available in the previous tool – search by entering keyword and search by entering the website URL, new addition in this version of the keyword tool is search by inserting a list of your high CTR keywords and the tool will provide relevant words for them.
You can easily choose to add or remove keyword categories – For example if I choose “Jeans” under the apparel category, I have the option of not showing words related to Old Navy, Wrangler, or Skinny Jeans. This would help an account manager in creating smaller and tighter ad group themes.
This tool is useful for creating better keyword themes but in terms of data there is not much difference as the data still seems to be very vague, I still don’t see which other competitors will be bidding on the same keyword, I only see a bar which will give me an indicative idea on how strong is the competition for the keyword.
